Anna Hazare is not the first and will not be the last to fight for a 'just' system of Ombudsman with the 'powers' that are adequate to act as a deterrent to the corrupt.
The government of the day is the source of corruption. They are trying their best to scuttle the weak (might die in few days) 'Lokpal' bill. Mr. Hazare's fast can now be used by the government to deflect the bill to a select committee, then a special committe and then to a GoM and finally to the dustbin.
The party that constitutes the government has got the name from the movement that liberated the country from the British. But The Sibal's and Tiwari's of this grand old party will bend their backs to protect the corrupt (So is our Prime Minister).
It is time we as a nation fight against the corrupt (including the so called Mr. Clean Prime Minister, Saviour of the corrupt), just as our bretheren did in Egypt, Libya and elsewhere in the world till the end. Sporadic, cosmetic fights can't help.
